How To Get Ripped Abs

Getting ripped abs is a two-part process:

1. Actually building your muscles
Simple enough. Crunches, leg lifts, and sit-ups are great ways to go about this. If you’ve been exercising for a good amount of time, you should be able to feel your abs in your stomach, but they’re not actually showing up. That’s where the second part comes in:

2. Burning fat off your body
This is the trickier part, and the reason why spot-toning doesn’t actually work. Your body stores fat all over the place, not just around your midsection. You can work the heck out of your stomach and not have visible results if you aren’t burning the fat off.

Burning fat is a lot simpler than it seems. You need to burn more calories than you consume. This does NOT mean that you should go on a massive diet, though, as this will just cause your metabolism to shut down and you’ll end up burning less calories. Instead, you need to do cardio exercise more to bring your heart rate up. It’s as simple as that.
